The
application for tax exempt status was approved by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service that Aging Veterans Care Relief Fund and
delcared exempt from Federal Income Tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to the Aging Vets
are deductible under section 170 of the Code.
Aging
Veterans Care Relief Fund is also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers of gifts under sections
2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Code. The Fund is in possession of the action letter to resolve any issues that occur regarding
these sections of the Code.
For purposes of serving
aging veterans, the organization has remained active but not solicit of contributions or bequests until now.
Expansion of Scope
In addition to providing VA assistance as a bridge to aging veterans age 65 and over, the Fund expanded its education
mandate on October 15 2016 to include the development of formal education opportunities for veterans and their families. Among
these additions include the development of a new and dedicated new Veterans university designed for Veterans exclusive - Victory
University of Florida
Veterans age 65 and over,
upon application and approval may attend tuition free. Programs include competency based degree tracks that takes into consideration
prior learning.
